Your journey follows in the wake of a historic voyage along the Alaskan coast by John Muir, at the end of the 19th century. He documented many of the scenic wonders you'll observe, including fjords, glaciers, icefields and waterfalls.
Sport fishing is the top outdoor recreation activity in Alaska. Alaskans spend their vacations, days off, and time before and after work fishing. Our guests almost always spend some time fishing for salmon, halibut, yelloweye rockfish and other Alaskan fish.
The fishing opportunities change in Alaska’s streams as the spring and summer seasons unfold. In addition to several varities of salmon, we often find Arctic Char, Cutthroat trout, Dolly Varden, and Rainbows and Steelhead in the rivers we'll explore.
The 95' Glacier Bear is an ideal vessel for observing and photographing whales. It is extremely stable, with large observation areas which allow for great viewing from both inside or outside on the deck. Don't forget to bring your binoculars!
